Exercise book Vol 1:

Making beats are the beginning stages for song ideas, and for me, usually done in isolation. But, collaborating with other producers and making beats is such a special process and I wanted to share a compilation of beats I made with some of my musical collaborators / friends.

Originally beat tapes served two primary purposes. First they were a producer's calling card, a demo for their skills which would later be honed in a proper studio with the right equipment and an engineer. Second, they were sketches and ideas that could be turned into finished musical products.
